Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
In my role I have a lot of admin computer based work to do. I interact with customers daily and try to find them holidays that are best suited to them, taking everything into consideration. We help customers to make sure they have everything in place ready for there holiday.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I really enjoy the programme, work is fun most of the time because of the team i work with. There all funny and really nice, and will always help me if i'm unsure of something. The company is great, and there are loads of training available to me for my role.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Ive learnt loads of new skills on top of all of the computer skills i already had coming into this business. Ive learnt a lot about the systems we use as a company to do our jobs and ive been trained on them to ensure im using them correctly and to the best of my ability.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
My induction was great, really introduced me to the role well, and helped me get ready for the job itself. There is always loads of training available to me, so if i need practise on one subject area, i have a training session i can use to help me gain more knowledge in the area.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My manager is always asking and making sure im ok. If they see me struggling with something they will come and help me and explain it out to me to help me understand it a lot easier. If im stuck i can get set extra training in that area to help me in the subject.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
When completing work, i usually ask my coach for some help on ways to go about starting some of the harder tasks. Doing this gives me a confidence boost to start off good and make sure i can do the task to the best of my ability. I do enjoy it, and i like the support and feedback i get once ive done a task.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
Most of what i learn on my apprenticeship helps me on a day to day basis, but there are some tasks that dont help at all for my daily routine. But these are needed for the travel sector in general. I know quite a lot more about the travel industry since ive started working at TUI and started my apprenticeship.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are very few company events. We do have things called educational courses, where we will get sent to a location and then we get to learn more about that destination. There are also apprentice award events that take place, every so often for the apprentices to be recognised for their achievement.
