Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I come to work and i would normally start the morning doing a wash and dress assessment, i double up with other members of staff for therapy and I may do a DADL assessment
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I mostly enjoy the interaction and the workshops as you gain good perspective from other people that are on different or similar pathways. I have really enjoyed the getting back to study and education and expanding my knowledge.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt a lot of new skills, i have learnt a lot about the anatomy and physiology of the body, tissue viability and a lot about myself and what I am capable of achieving.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I feel i have been extremely lucky with my assessor and the way it has been structured works well for me. I like to be organised and i feel that this programme keeps me organised as well.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Again I feel very lucky as my employer and manager have been extremely supportive and I have not had to struggle with anything, i can talk to them and they help with what ever i need.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My assessor is amazing, she has supported me and gone above and beyond to help me achieve my qualifications. I have nothing but good things to say about her and i will actually miss talking to her once i have completed my programme.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel it helps give me the knowledge to support my actions whilst in on the ward and in my current role its given me so much confidence in what i do.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
We are quite a small team and we do organise a lot of get togethers, social events and activities. Last year we took part in the global step challenge as a team, and i recently was invited to the AHP support worker conference.
