Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Providing all aspects of admin support to four senior managers including diary management, minutes of meetings etc - including daily liaison with wide range of staff at all levels, partner agencies across the county and regular contact with people who use services and their carers, who may be distressed or angry.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
A very enjoyable and worthwhile experience which gave me the confidence that I could potentially go on to complete other courses in future for my professional development.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Gained valuable new knowledge about different business types and structures, as well as new knowledge and insight from the various IncludED modules on different subjects which were very interesting.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well organised and structured so that the amount of work per month was always manageable and with excellent support from trainer.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Very supportive of me completing this course for my professional development and giving me the required regular protected time to complete units.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My trainer [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] kept in regular contact and was extremely supportive and approachable with any problems or where anything was not clear.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Yes very much so - and also gained better understanding of some managerial aspects which although not a part of my own current role do form a significant part of the role of those whom I work for so useful knowledge to have.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Some staff facilitate a regular Mindfulness session for colleagues which many find useful to start their day - we also have occasional staff away-days and other wellbeing events.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NHS to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I have a very friendly, conscientious and supportive group of colleagues who are a pleasure to work with and would highly recommend the organisation as a place to work.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NHS?
Prepare well for any interviews offered - to include thinking about what you are likely to be asked and preparing detailed answers/examples to give - to include also having practice interviews with family/friends.
