Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Running a daily stand-up with the team of developers to make sure everything is on track. After that meeting I would strive to solve any roadblocks the developers were facing to make development as efficient as possible.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was in responsible for an important business intelligence project and was overseeing 3 developers. It was my job to keep the medium term plan up to date and to run the sprint planning sessions where we decided our weekly development priorities.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Learned about the agile project management methodology and had a lot of experience to put this into practice. I now understand the corporate structure of a large company and know how to best find the stakeholder I need for my project.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
My supervisor and I had 3, 1 hour, one to one sessions booked in every week for my development. He was also available to me whenever I needed him. Everyone was very approachable if I reached out to contact them both in my team and outwith.

Make sure to reach out to as many people as you can when you work there. Hopefully next year will be in the office and you are able to meet people in person.
