About Shell
At Shell UK, you can power your progress as we work on the future of energy together.
Our company is transitioning to become a net-zero emissions energy business by 2050, whilst providing the energy that people around the world need today.
Whichever part of our business you join, you will have the chance to work with experienced colleagues, in an environment that encourages you to be the best version of yourself. Here, you will be invited to think differently and learn from your colleagues who have a diversity of backgrounds, cultures, ideas, and knowledge. You will have the support to develop and hone the skills you need to grow in your career.
We offer a wide range of Early Careers Opportunities including Apprenticeship Programme, Assessed Internship Programme and Graduate Programme.
The Shell UK Apprenticeship Programme is designed for school leavers and individuals who do not have a degree qualification. Instead, we aim to welcome people from broader backgrounds and experiences to help shape their career and find their purpose.
The programme aims to help you learn, develop, and achieve your full potential. It will offer you both on-the-job experience and formal development to give you the knowledge and skills to start your career, whilst working towards nationally recognised qualifications.
The Assessed Internship Programme is a 10-12 week placement for penultimate year students from all degree disciplines. It gives students a real role, along with the mentoring and support they need to succeed while working on a major project with clear deliverables and outcomes. Assessed interns will undergo formal mid-term and end-of-internship reviews, and if successful, might be offered a position in the Graduate Programme.
The Shell Graduate Programme is a three-year programme, enabling graduates to grow their careers and contribute to the energy sector. Shell match graduates into one of four pathways based on skills and preference, including Trading & Supply, Commercial, Finance and IDT. Graduates have the opportunity to work on innovative solutions to help provide communities with secure and affordable energy and enable Shell to become a net-zero emissions business. Graduates will explore new technologies and trends while working with experts from various fields. New graduates are based in Shell’s London office.
