Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
supporting the community nursing team to provide patients whom are housebound with care. To keep them out of hospital and treat them within the community. To liase with multy disciplinary teams to proved that care.
Complete live working documentation with equipment provided. Other areas include blood taking and wound care
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
The programme is very enjoyable and i am gaining lots of knowledge towards my current role. I am finding that communication between university and work place can be poor in terms of all available opprtunities for myself. But i will add this has been partially due to change in cirumstances according to covid 19

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have had opportunties to experience different settings within the trust.
I have been upskilled to provide higher levels of nursing care.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The structure of the programme has been well done considering all learning has been transferred to online training and lectures. The university lecturers have performed at a very high level considering that they themselves are not used to teaching in this particular way.
Th support that they have made available has been excellent
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Support from employer has been made available but again due to changes in working environments due to covid 19 there has not been much face to face support. Teams has been very useful to have meetings virtually to get that support from my practice assessor, who has been supportive since day one.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Support has been available at all times.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It has given the academia behind all skills that i use daily. I have also gained confidence to provide the right care for patients within my role. I am to give factual information to patients to provide them the support that they require for safe health outcomes. I hope that this continues to be the case
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
no at the moment due to covid 19
