Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I have been fortunate enough to have been supported by my Manager and NHFT to undertake an apprenticeship in leadership and management, which has led to me getting more managerial experience and responsibilities. The tutors at college and been of fantastic support and currently helping me to achieve the necessary standards for the end point assessment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Whilst working full time and completing the work to go with this apprenticeship, along with COVID, has been challenging, the programme also had to evolve due to COVID, the college did everything in their power to ensure that learning wasn't interrupted. The tutors and other apprentices have made it an enjoyable experience, and made me excited to develop new skills and gain new knowledge.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have gained lots of knowledge around leadership and management, and also learnt and grown in this role, being able to use my emotional intelligence to deal with situations, and factor in learning that i might not have considered before.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme that is delivered by Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Training is very well organised and the tutors very approachable and helpful

My manager is very supportive of the role and the need to gain experience in order to complete this qualification.

The training provider is very supportive. The tutors and lecturers are very approachable and supportive.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have gained new experiences and knowledge, which has helped shape my behaviours, and allowed me to become a better, and more understanding manager.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have local networking events, and social activities with work colleagues.
