Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I manage data loads and work on second and third line support incidents involving a lot of investigation and problem solving.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy my programme. I'm looking forward to the future to finish my apprenticeship and become a full time employee.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed lots of new skills and developed existing ones I've already had. I've developed way more skills than I started out with and I'm really happy with my progress.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is very well structured. We have regular monthly meetings with our training providers to track progress and have college once a week on Friday.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive support with anything I need. My employer is really helpful and I always feel like I can ask for help with anything and will get it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive monthly meetings where they can help me track progress and ask how everything is going or talk about issues that we have had. We as a collective had an issue with the college course and our training provider sorted it straight away.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I think it helps me a little bit. I work in a specialised role so I learn a lot more on the job but the general skills my qualification is making me learn does help me naturally on a day to day basis.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes there is plenty to get involved in at CGI.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend CGI to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I don't have any faults with my experience so far, it has been great.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CGI?
I would say to be yourself and to show you're skills and CGI will find a way to utilise them. I'd also tell people to show how they can work in a team, as team work at CGI is very important.
