Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
As a degree apprentice at Accenture, I have the flexibility to pick my role. This can be any role that is available on the Accenture's own tool, ranging from technical roles like Cloud Engineer, Data Architect and App developer to non-technical roles like Client Finance management, PMO (Project Management Office), etc. These roles would have different requirements and you could do a mixture of these roles depending on your project.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
The fact that I can choose my own project and my own role within that project for a specific client is the best part of the program and I have enjoyed it very much. This offers the apprentice to be in charge of their own career and this is the most important advantage for choosing Accenture over other apprentice ship providers.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Since joining the apprenticeship program, I have complete my first year of university where I completed modules like programming where we learnt to code using JAVA. I also completed other modules where I learnt a lot about the industry related skills and gained valuable experience. I have also taken part in industry related trainings that Accenture provides which has been very useful for upskilling.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The program is very well organised as there is a university part and the work part. This means that you can learn and experience the industry related technologies and then choose what you want to specialise. There are plenty of opportunities to explore your interests and upskill yourself either by university training or from Accenture
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
There is a lot of support available from Accenture. As there is an Apprentice leadership team with dedicated leads for each level/year apprentices who are available every working day of the week and there is also the HR representative assigned to each apprentice to provide any support that maybe required.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The university is very supportive. There is an apprentice lead from the university who is available at any time to assist you. The module lecturers are also very supportive and helpful when asking for help or questions regarding the module learning / coursework / preparing for exams. You will be able to find support for anything.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification from the university is very useful in helping me develop myself and my understanding of the Industry as well as valuable experience. The learning has played a key role in helping me get on to projects and roles of my interest and helped me explore then while getting skills and experience that will be vital for me.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are so many Accenture networks, social activities, sports teams, and groups that any employee (apprentice included) can join. These groups hold events that you can take part in to socialise and also win prizes. There is a group for everyone. These can also help in your career and getting in to your are of interest.
