Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My current position before covid stuck was to be responsible for the day to day running of the clients staff Canteen, cashing up, book keeping, stocktaking, haccp and coshh. Preparing and cooking vegetarian breakfast and daily baking of home made cakes. Plan resource and organise the team to meet expected levels of customer demand within business constraints.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
My apprenticeship experience on the training programme has been a great learning opportunity. Although I was a bit apprehensive at first it didn't take long to apply modules I had been learning in my academic programme to the real world skills such as leadership and how to deal with my team and customers.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Use leadership style and supervisor and management skills appropriate to the business and situation.
Coordinate the team to deliver to customers according to their needs in line with business/brand standards, enhancing their experience where appropriate.
Maintain the brand and business standard at all times. Identifying possible areas for improvement.
Monitor and ensure compliance to legislative requirements in all work activities.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
My programme was faily well organised, if you understood it. I had a delivery model but it made little sence, and all thought the programme I felt like I was in the dark. Each month it was like a new surprise some good and some not so.. Could have done with an enhanced model. I think i could explain better to somebody what was expected of them.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
1/5
I have struggled alot though this apprenticeship as I had very little support from my managers do to their location, although they did say I could contact them anytime. And there was no go to person on site to help me with my studies or research. Towards the end of my apprenticeship I had a change of management and my new manager couldn't have been more helpful, but by then I had already reached the mock assesment stage and all the work was done.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I received alot of support from my trainer during my apprenticeship, I could not of asked for a better one. He was always there when I needed him and answered my calls quickly. He was so patient and reasuring and had great confidence in me. Unfortunately he left towards the end of my training and I was assigned a new one after a two month break, but there was only a little left to do then before my mock assessments.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I have learnt alot about the company I work for and how they operate and fit into the bigger picture. I now have the ability to see leadership styles in other people and motivation techniques in practice. I understand why I am doing something rather than just doing it. I use my new skills to motivate my team set good examples and instil the importance of good practices.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are a great many things people can get involved with if they wish to do so.
