Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am a Resourcing Business Partner, I attract the right talent with the right skills, knowledge, and behaviors through effective talent management. I create a culture of engagement driving continuous improvement with internally and externally and source talent to meet workforce plans, creating a pool of diverse individuals.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am finding it extremely engaging and insightful.
It has given me greater insight into Business Models, Management and Developing yourself. I am only 4 months into the course in my first year, however so far it has been amazing.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since joining CEVA I have expanded and learnt new skills through internal development and training, these have been focused on Project Management, Managing Implementations as a Resourcing Lead, Mentoring and Coaching etc.
In 2021 I have had the opportunity to start my CMI.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very structured, we have 24/7 access to our programme, resource and clear visibility on tasks that need completing with clear deadlines.
The tutors and mentors make themselves available should we have any urgent queries. Our 4 days induction was intense but really engaging and structure.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I recieve 100% support from my employer.
I manage my diary day by day and will focus study when I have availability at the start or end of each day allowing me to focus.
However I know if I had any issues my manager would allow me the time.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5

Again excellent support from [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] our Mentor and our Tutors. We have regular updates on our discussion boards and our tutors put in drop in sessions in between cohort days.
However I know if I needed them they are happy to support me.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It will strengthen my leadership abilties and give me a broader understanding of business, structure, leadership engagement and prepare me for a management role in the long term.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Piror to COVID yes we had extra activities (Team gatherings, Town Halls) most have been virtual and visually based, fun and engaging - but better when we are all F2F again.
Professional Networking 100% I am apart of the D&I committee and we also have further iniatives across the business.

Why?

I really value CEVAs ethics as a company, the organisation is large enough to allow progression and offer challenges. It is also a global business which can offer global opportunities.
