We had a two week induction at Severn Trent before we started our role, this was great to ease us into being part of the company. I have a designated study day, to ensure I get the necessary time to do my University Work.

I have a weekly catch up with my manager to talk about work, university and anything I have going on generally. This was twice a week throughout the pandemic. I have also worked closely with the HR Team in regard to diversity and inclusion, who have also been supportive.

Most of the topics I learn at University, I can apply in my role at Severn Trent. I also attend a summer school at the University every year where we learn 'legal skills', such as legal drafting, which I use in my role day to day.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Over the pandemic, Severn Trent launched the 'Share a Smile campaign'. This was series of events such as Bingo and a Quiz Night to get the company together. Severn Trent also offer volunteering days, such as litter picking to give back to the community.
