Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work in supply chain whereby I manage events online, stock position and suppliers
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The link between the degree and my role within Boots. This enables me to put what I learn at uni into practice at work

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes. Both personal and practical skills

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The degree is structured well, allowing specific blocked our days whereby we can focus on learning.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I think the support is there from Boots. However, I’d argue that it is varies from manager to manager. Some mangers are not so engaged and struggle to give you the time to complete the 20% off the job training.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Training at Boots is good. However, once you’re in a role for a while, you receive less training. Especially if that role is high demanding and fast paste then there is often little time for extra learning/training
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It directly helps! A lot of the modules are great as you can easily think about Boots and how they are used within my organisation.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, however it would vary from what your department is offering. Often these events are organised by department basis, not total business
