Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work mostly on projects, that can be quite different from each others. The main ones are to build tools to assess the risk taken by the Bank of England on its on market operations. I also provide technical expertise to other teams that need help.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
The online training website developed by Fitch was very helpful, but the mentoring completely useless. I learned a lot by studying the CFA material, but I received zero guidance for the other objectives of the apprenticeship.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Since the beginning of the apprenticeship, I increased my knowledge on various finance topics, which helped me to link my day to day work to the bigger picture.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
The FitchLearning online platform for CFA is great and allows to organise the studying. The rest of the apprenticeship is loosely organised. The tracking of On The Job learning is tedious and doesn't seem very relevant. I am only halfway to the end of the apprenticeship, so this judgement my change.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My employer paid for the apprenticeship and accepted to accomodate for it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The training provider provided an online platform, online classes and training material. All of that was useful. The mentoring was not useful.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Learning the CFA material helped me to get a better "big picture" understanding of the problematics we are facing at work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I am involved in the Market Intelligence work we do at the Bank (gathering market intelligence to inform senior management on what is going on in the market).
