Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My current role is doing manual and some automated testing on the Home Office Project for Accenture, this is where I have been testing the functionalities of the application 'Atlas' and have been detected defaults and bugs. Within this, so far I have also wrote some of my own automation with guidance from team member (writing and running feature files).
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Although at times this programme can be challenging, I really enjoy what I do on a day to day basis and the University work is very different to this therefore makes my week more exciting and flexible.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt many new skills so far working at Accenture, before this apprenticeship I did not have any knowledge or skills within the area of testing. Therefore, I have came a long way in my testing knowledge. As well as this, I have improved massively on my networking skills and confidence whilst communicating with team members from all over the world (calls with developers based in India).

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is very structured. Whilst working Monday-Thursday, I also attend college on a Friday which keeps a steady routine.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I recieve constant support from my apprentice leads, Karen and Ketki, with regular catchups. On a day to day basis, I also keep in touch with my project leads during the daily stand ups. As well as this, my university tutor arranges meetings monthly to keep up on us individually as well as speaking to them every Friday.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I have montly meeting with my Uni tutor, as well as keeping in touch every Friday.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
My role is very different to the work i complete at University. However, there has been a few projects that have been benefitted due to knowledge I learnt at work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are many meetings throughout the week and events that go on at Accenture, this makes the work place a much more exciting and happy place to work.
