Overall Rating

0.8 /5

The Overall Rating is the average of all the ratings given in each category. We take those individual ratings and combine them into one final score!

1/5 - Overview of Role
1/5 - Skills Development
1/5 - Structure and Support

Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
1/5
My daily role is a client facing role that daily has me interact with clients from the project i am working on, this can cover everything from running meeting/calls with senior managers to updating sales documents and information. Other tasks require me to frequently email other teams in order to request resources and documents as according to client asks often acting as a middle man to facilitate meetings and sharing of documents between teams and different clients.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
1/5
Initially it started out great, as a poc the diversity within Accenture was highlighted from the start, however during my course at Newcastle college multiple problems arose which Accenture were not helpful with. Their blatant refusal to speak to the collage about issues on the course as it may affect their relationship with them is ridiculous

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
1/5
With this course being part of a college i am doing a training course in order to get my degree after this course, this involves going to the training provider every Friday and completing my degree like any other university student would but we have the added benefit of being able to lean on our co-workers who are experts in their field to help us out with everything from report writing to technical code writing

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
The program was poorly structured, with little procedures and policies in place to meet problems and needs, since this program has been run countless times you would expect no "teething issues" or problems that they have not encountered before. It is a poor balance between work life and student life. The company provides a poor structure and balance to this work/student split leading to a confusing poorly organized program.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
1/5
Little, during numerous problems that arose within the education aspect of the program they offered no real help, they will talk about how much they will help, schedule calls to go over actions but they won't actually provide you with anything that you request. They view any requests to support favorably but still don't provide it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
Almost none, we have cycled through countless lectures who as of this moment have all quit the organization due to the poor state of the college, every single lecturer who was apart of the college since 2019 September has since quit, showing you the promises constantly made and not delivered
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
Your role at Accenture is random, you could end up on your dream project doing what you planned to, or you could end up on a non-technical team for 3 years giving you 0 experience within tech for when you leave Accenture. Your degree is also in a field that will not match your role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
Accenture does have endless extra activities, side of desk work clubs and volunteering days. They have the standard Christmas party as well as regular events for drinks. Meaning if you don't drink alcohol, like me, you will not find a place in 70% of the events they host or advertise.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Accenture to a friend?
No
Why?
They provide a degree from a college, ranked so low it does not even appear on the university rankings, almost zero support for anything of significance and a good portion of the intake will end up on non-technical role where you will not be learning, or roles you have zero interest in.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
Dont, Unless you are extremely lucky and your dream role appears right as you join the company, can do the degree flawlessly without any support and are prepared to be constantly be ignored as your as "just a apprentice". For people who want to join anyway the hiring team is completely non-technical so if you say your answers with confidence, despite being right or wrong, you will pass all the stages
