Independent research. Aligning research to internal portfolio and occasionally to customer work. 20% off the job training as a part of the apprenticeship program.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy my work and the people I work with. However it was a big adjustment to a large company whereby you are constantly working, or communicating, with others who are geographically spread, even before lock-down. overall I enjoy my job
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Pluralsight courses. Internal training surrounding Agile. Expensed trips to conferences. I've learnt a multitude of things surrounding Data Science and programming that I did not know prior to this.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well organised. We are given vast induction materials and there is a multitude of events that occur throughout the duration that keep us all engaged. I have great support from the graduate/apprenticeship community, internal networks (LGBT), various levels of management and everyone within my department is very approachable.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have many layers and outlets of support that I have utilised. This comes in the form of supporting my personal development, as well as my academic/technical development. There is always someone available to help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

WhiteHat are superb at getting back to me should i have any questions. They provide various platforms to get information to us, from dedicated Slack channels, to virtual conferences, their own UK community and regular 1:1 coaching sessions.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Having only started my course 1 month ago, I have only managed to have one 1:1 coaching session. However my coach is very keen on encouraging me to apply my learning to my role, and has help tailor objectives around this to ensure that I am getting the best possible outcome from the experience.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Fujitsu have vast range of networks. The networks I am involved with are; the Pride network (where I am encouraged to contribute as much as possible, and attend regular events to share experiences and network with others), the Junior Talent Network (this is the graduate and apprentice community where I have made local, national and global friends who i am able to share my experiences with). WhiteHat also provide regular coffee sessions, webinars and events. When not working I love to run, socialise and take day trips, a lot of the time with people I have met through work.

Yes
Why?
Good culture. Respect you regardless of age/gender/ethnicity/sexuality. Amazing support networks. Very good at showing recognition. Great partnerships with other companies. Vast knowledge throughout all technologies and business acumen.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Fujitsu?
Be apologetically yourself, your skills will get you noticed, your personality and how you work with others will get you hired.
