Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Currently, working in demand management so collating the finances of the project to send to finance for validation. Tracking the status of each project. Collating monthly reports. Scheduling presentations for project owners using a system I created for efficiency. In the process of migrating spreadsheets onto a new application for a more automated, time-saving process.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the culture of the company as everyone is friendly and open to help even if you don't work directly together but have been introduced. I enjoy working with my team as we can talk about things outside of work for our well-being, an example is the daily virtual catch-up we have at 9:30am. I get a lot of support with my work and feel comfortable asking questions.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have developed my soft skills and learnt how to use software, which I was unfamiliar with, for tracking and reporting purposes. I have built on making client relationships. I am currently studying towards my AWS Cloud Practitioner certification as I am most interested in that aspect of technology.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The induction gave us general information that we would need to know working in the company, which is helpful. Training is open to apprentices which I appreciate as we can learn about things we are mostly interested in within IT. We are allocated a buddy which is helpful because we can build a relationship with someone who has been in our place and can give personal advice.

My team, HR, Manager and buddy give a lot of support and I feel comfortable reaching out to any.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We have an intranet at University which we can refer to for previous lectures so that is helpful during exam season to reflect back on.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Whilst working on my role I feel that I have more background knowledge than I would have had without the training provider.

Yes there are social events we can go to and charity days (we have 3 annually).

Would you recommend Accenture to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It has a great culture, I feel like I have grown a lot during my first year. I am confident in expanding my knowledge further and it has different social events for everyone.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Accenture?
Be honest and yourself during the interviews. Read some articles that take your interest on Accenture to look into their work and the different kinds of projects you could be on. Ask questions to HR during on-boarding if unsure. Be friendly during assessment days as everyone is nervous.
