Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Day-to-day at Enterprise we communicate and serve customers both via retail and insurance. As a team we manage a large fleet of vehicles and work well to provide good service to both internal and external customers.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

During my internship i was given the opportunity to undertake different captaincies and be responsible for different things daily. By doing this I have been able to further develop my skills in certain situations

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have learnt how to manage and take control of difficult situations with a variety of different customers. I have also learnt how to use a variety of softwares such as excel. My communication skills have strongly developed both over the phone and email.

Throughout I had a lot of support from my line manager and area manager. Occasionally, there was email support from other individuals in the business. By hosting intern events I was able to connect with other individuals in a similar situation to me

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Towards the end of my internship i have thoroughly enjoyed working with the team that I have. I found it hard to manage university work alongside of the long hours but overall it was good to gain the experience
