Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
serve customers, work through daily delegation tasks such as follow up calls, damage tracker, debt collection, manage assigned development projects within the branch, come up with business improvement ideas, gather leads for business accounts through building rapport with customers, follow up with dealerships about damaged vehicles.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
i was given a folder with stages to work through each stage containing projects i need to lead within the branch. each of these came with different responsibilities such as managing customer feedback, ensuring company protocols are followed.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
how different management styles work and what works for me/others. the importance of adjusting management styles based on the person to meet their needs and give the best support to get the best results out of everyone. i feel i have developed my confidence with making decisions in stressful situations and helping less experienced colleagues with issues.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
at the start there was guidance, monthly training and support with tasks given in my folder, as time has progressed however i feel the support/guidance has dropped off with the branch getting busier for summer there is less time to focus on development and training.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
at the beginning the company culture was very positive and was a big part of what i enjoyed, however as time has gone on the team has changed (new people joining and people leaving)
i feel the culture has become less supportive and more hostile. there is noticeable tension between management and other colleagues, especially during the busier periods

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
i enjoyed it at the beginning, the culture was nice and i felt like i was learning a lot and support was there, as time has progressed the support dropped off and the with the busier months. the supportive environment shifted as new staff joined and the 'more experience' staff left to fend for themselves despite still being quite new.

What advice would you give to others applying to Enterprise Mobility
there are positives to the job but the downsides can be very hard and testing, if your heart is in it i believe it can be a good place to work and grow but the hours are long and the conditions can be tough.
