Business Management Trainee Review

Your main job role is to generate great customer service to each customer walking through the door to make their mobility as smooth as possible. You also have other tasks along the way such as creating strong new relationships with corporate firms who need our services to get to different locations such as different campuses or even needing vans to move goods. We also look into the risk side of the business as well and assett management to ensure that we retain and keep our vehicles to the best standards and rent to the right people to reduce risk. As well as this we focus highly on sales, upselling products constantly to generate a greater profit and to create greater promotability and a better personal brand for yourself.

I am given the responsibility of the service calls during my placement. This means I follow up with each customer after the rental has ended to ensure that they have been happy with their experience and to resolve any issues that they may have faced during this time. We also have captaincies so we rotate every few months looking after either risk, cost control and sales, claims and growth. This gives you the responsibility to grow the branch in these aspects during the 3 month time periods you have this control over.

The skill that I’ve developed the most would definitely be my confidence as speaking to many people from every walks of life has been so beneficial for me. This as well as communication has been so detrimental for my placement as it has allowed me to generate this great customer service and generate a huge number of name mentions and strong relationships with our regular customers which also enhances their experience with us as well

My support system within the 2 branches that I’ve worked within have been excellent. The feedback that I’ve asked for has always been amazing and they have always been more than happy to answer any questions that I may have had. The manager systems have been amazing.

Everyone in every branch I’ve ever entered has been so lovely, always been so helpful and taking time to help whenever. The diversity within the company also generates a great atmosphere and everyone seems to jel as a team so well.

I really enjoyed my placement, however the hours are very long and sometimes ruin plans made outside of work hours. It is very fun however there is a slight work life balance.
