Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Sat on a System called “ECARS” all day getting customers booked in with replacement vehicles.
Then answering phone calls all day to “high value clients”

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
You are given a lot of responsibility, in terms of getting cars out, you have to conduct a in depth underwriting on customers at exotics, ensuring this is done properly is key to keeping assets safe, but that’s it.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I wouldn’t say I have learnt any new skills really at all, maybe better telephone communication and more job independence, but this is nothing I couldn’t have learnt at any other company.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I received support from my assistant managers and my manager they were excellent, they were very supportive and helpful for me during my placement, if I did not understand anything they would assist me.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Company Culture is bad, branches are competing with each other for deals and customers and are quite frankly greedy, they would rather tarnish each others reputation as a wider brand than lose “deals” and “rates”. The atmosphere is uncomfortable particularly when area managers are around, they make you feel like you are being watched and are constantly micro managing you, I felt more comfortable working without being monitored

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I did not enjoy my experience at all to be quite honest. I adored my colleagues specifically my branch manager and assistants the first 9 months until we suddenly decided to move branch locations, despite me not having a license so this was a huge inconvenience to me. The job feels like it has no purpose, no wider impact to the world other than renting cars…

What advice would you give to others applying to Enterprise Mobility
I would advise you don’t apply to this company, unless you enjoy working late consistently, being micro managed and made to feel uncomfortable by area managers, and consistently question why you bothered joining the role in the first place. If you join this job as a post grade you will become complacent and think this job is your only option.
