Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

providing customers with mobility, via personal, corporate or insurance reservations. i learnt to understand the business operations from a managers perspective, dealing with profit and loss sheets, direct people management and constantly trying to boost revenue where possible.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

i was personally responsible for all aspects of the business while completing my internship:
- daily operations
- sales
- vehicle repair
- risk and claim management
- growth and marketing
- customer service and personal development
having these captaincies really helped em to understand all areas Daily Rental has to offer at the front desk, when dealing with customers on a day to day basis

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

significant personal and professional development, both go hand in hand together perfectly in this internship. I built significant customer service skills and learnt how to work as part of big teams dealing with over 300 vehicles at one time. developed time management and problem solving skills when under pressure for a specific vehicle to meet the requirements for a reservation.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

there was guidance and support easily accessible whenever i needed it. managers of all parts of the business, regardless of their job title or pay packet were always willing to help and the encouragement of learning is at the forefront within enterprise.
