Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My placement year at Enteprise Mobilty was one that challenged me and pushed me to be the best I can be. It is a great opportunity for university students to test their business management skills. Enterprise allows progression for their trainees within the first year to become assistant managers, which has helped me kick-start my career with them for when I come back from university! Overall, I really recommend students to do their placement year at Enteprise as the company develops transferable skills and has a lot of opptunity.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement year. I was team leader, risk captain and sales captain. Within these roles, I could control my branch's profits and revenues but also make the day to day running smooth. Being given so much responsibility was one of the highlights of my placement year at Enteprise. It has allowed me to feel confident in my decision making and how I lead a team successfully.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have learn a wide range of skills. My placement year has enhanced my knowledge in business management and customer service. There is also a big focus on teamwork, resilience and communication. My favourite part of the placement year was being delegated specific duties that I was responsible for and learning about how to run a business. Within the first year, employees learn about the profits and revenue of the business, which is a great skill to bring into future careers!

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
The guidance and support was great during my placement year. I had monthly 1 to 1s with my branch manager, where we tracked my progression. This really helped me hit my KPIs and MQI at the end of the year. Without this support, I wouldn't have known what I needed to improve. My team was very upbeat and it was a happy, positive working environment that I am looking forward to going back to!

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Enterprise Mobility to a friend?
Yes
What advice would you give to others applying to Enterprise Mobility
Be resilient with the work as it is a lot of customer service and longer hours than a regular university day. If you stick with it, a lot will come out of it. I have got a qualification in management and developed my network so when I leave university, I have a job waiting for me.
