Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
1. Use of an CMS software called AEM to make regular updates on the website.
2. Assist the team in the launch of the Future sales project by resolving authoring tickets linked to the website.
3. Raise and manage PO's for the team and keep a budget tracker. Also, resolve invoices.
4. Assist the Retail marketing team in their operations and managing the retailer marketing inbox and the Honda Brand Portal.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given enough responsibility during my time at Honda. The opportunity to make regular updates on the live customer facing website which has a lot of regular views.
Also, pushed the Launch of the HR-V FSP project Live across the UK market.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
1. The ability to learn new softwares in which I had no background in. For e.g - AEM, COUPA, VIM, Content Square, Google analytics, Jira.
2. Collaborate with different agencies to work on a big scale project and deal with external suppliers. My involvement in the FSP project really helped me learn how to communicate with team members across the board.
3. Manage different tasks and priorities according to business requirement. The involvement with different teams under UK automobile marketing like Website, Retailer marketing, sponsorships and tactical marketing. Helped me become more.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
There was plenty of support through out the placement. Starting from the initial training received and then supporting to get involved in projects further than the job description for better experience.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The Communications and Marketing team in the UK automobile division provided a very holistic and supportive environment. Everyone was very social and relaxed, which made the transition to the first job much easier.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I highly enjoyed my time here at Honda with a combination of some exciting work, off-site projects and a very sociable team. Some opportunities like getting involved at the rugby games in Twickenham was a highlight.
