Retail Pricing Undergraduate Review

My role involves a day to day task analysing how any new quotes have changed from the previous day to help identify any issues and raise these.
I help to handle queries in the team inbox which involves gathering remittance advices and commission statements from various dealerships.
Often my day-to-day work will change to meet the needs of the team and go from analysing vehicle future prices to competitor lender rates etc.

Yes - In my placement i was given lots of opportunities to work with other teams as well as responsibility with some tasks that were shared externally.
I was invited to various committee meetings where slides I made presented in this committee were analysed and reviewed in detail by Head of Finance and even Operations Director in some cases.

Developed excel and Microstrategy skills including the use of Macros and codeing to speed up processes and apply more in depth analysis.
Learnt more in my degree field and helped on PROA, ROA and future return scenarios at different finance rates.
Communication and professionalism skills were improved.

I received lots of support and guidance from my manager as well as people in my team and across the business. Everyone in my team was very supportive as well as the manager of finance who booked a meeting with the HFE undergraduates for future advice.

The company culture had a really friendly atmosphere. Everyone is very welcoming and happy to share opinions which makes it great for idea sharing and improving the company as a whole.

I did enjoy my placement- I think it was a great opportunity for me to develop and grow professionally.
The work I was doing was meaningful and has given me a better understanding of where I would like to progress to in the future.
