Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

Alongside immersing myself into each of the practice areas I was allocated in for the week, I was involved in a mix of informative, social, and collaborative activities. Taylor Wessing scheduled focus-on sessions, allowing us to learn more about the diverse practice areas the firm has to offer. There was also a pro bono workshop, sector panel, and client secondment panels. Alongside that, there were also socials that were organised throughout the two weeks, allowing us to socialise with fellow vacation schemers. At the end of the scheme, we also had a group presentation.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

It was a very immersive experience that allowed me to get stuck into the legal work and the understand the legal landscape a lot better.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

The scheme has increased my communication and networking skills, and most importantly, my confidence in the workplace. I have also learnt a lot about Taylor Wessing as a firm and the work that trainees get involved with in each practice areas.
