Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As a Management Intern at Glasgow Airport, I assist with daily rental operations, including vehicle checks, customer bookings, and handling enquiries. I help coordinate fleet availability, process payments, and support basic admin tasks. The role gives me hands on experience in customer service, logistics, and branch operations.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given a good level of responsibility, including handling customer bookings, performing vehicle inspections, and calling customers. I was trusted to manage tasks independently, which helped build my confidence and gave me valuable hands on experience in day to day operations.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I feel as though i have developed stronger communication and problem-solving skills through daily customer interactions. I’ve also improved my attention to detail by conducting vehicle inspections and handling documentation. Additionally, I’ve gained a better understanding of operational processes and time management in a fast-paced environment.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship, it was a great learning experience with a supportive team and hands on responsibilities. I have even decided to stay on and have now joined the Management Trainee Program to continue developing my career with the company.
