Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Making recipes to cost and nutritional targets as well as lead scaled up development via pilot plant and carrying out regular shelf life testing.

Yes I was given lots of responsibility working on multiple live projects.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received lots of support and guidance from all team members particularly my mentor during my placement whenever I asked for it, but was also trusted to get on with my projects autonomously. I also had regular check ins with my mentor to see how I was doing.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I really enjoyed my placement and feel like I have learnt a lot from start to finish, I liked that I was treated as part of the team and not just the student, and that there are also other students on the placement with you. You also gets lots of opportunities to see other parts of the business.
