Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I am a Driven Moves First Line Manager who manages a team of drivers who are delivering and collecting vehicles around the country on a day-to-day basis. This involves a lot of people management, dealing with a variety of HR issues. Also get involved in a lot of great new projects which will benefit the long term growth of the business. As well as projects and continuous improvement to ensure we are constantly compliant with DHL policies.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Withing my placement i have been much more responsibility than i had expected and this has enabled me to push myself every day and learn new skills and develop as an individual.

During my placement i received constant support from all levels of management throughout the business as well as my surrounding team, all employees were very open to have Placement students in their operation.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I really enjoyed my placement, due to the high amounts of responsibility you are given and the amount of opportunities which DHL provide you with, whether that is training courses to aid development, Awards evenings and site visits around the country. I would recommend this placement.

Be yourself during the application, your employee will want to see you for who you are and what you are capable off. Therefore they are able to find the best fit for you and allow to get those most out of your placement.
