Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
You will be selling to customers different excess protection packages, and understanding how to handle customer interactions. In the second branch I was in the day mostly surrounded driving, delivering and collecting car for corporate customers. Every day you will be writting contracts for either retail, coporate or insurance customers. Some times you will be able to go out into the market place and speak to businesses that use Enterprise for their fleet as well as businesses that dont use Enterprise to see if there is room for growth.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
In the branch we were all given a captancy role which we had to be responsible for, mine was the service, I had to make sure our ESLF was completed everyday and call any customers that had issues with our products or service. We all had control over different coporate accounts which we had to chase debt and help in anyway possible. We would be trusted to make our own decisons in the day to day.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have devloped my team building skills as everyone has to work together to finish on time. I have learned about account managment through tracking my assigned accounts by, chasing debt and helping these accounts with any issues they have. I now have the ability to handle difficult conversations with customers and knowing how I can have a professional conversation to make sure they leave the office knowing we helped them as much as we could.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
At the start of the placment I felt we were given a lot of guidance this was because I started in a smaller branch however when I was moved to a larger branch due to how busy the days were support and guidance was not as prevelent. I enjoyed the trainning day we went on as it helped to solidify the information we were learning in the branch

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The other employee's in Enterprise was the soul reason I enjoyed my placement, everyone has to work as a team to finish the day on time, there is a lot of overtime within the branch I was based at, which effects everyones moods. Every employee helps to complete the day in order to have a healthy work life balance

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I started off enjoying my placment year but when I was moved to my second branch I lost a lot of enjoyment. Due to the long day and new shift patterns such as an Out Of Hours shift I lost my work life balance. With this new branch the day is nonstop little time for a break and with the constant driving I found myself finding less enjoyment during my placement.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Enterprise Mobility to a friend?
No
What advice would you give to others applying to Enterprise Mobility
Make sure you ask about the shift patterns I was unaware that I would potentially be working till midnight, especially when it was driving around the county at night. If you want to work at Enterprise you will have to understand that the day is not just a 8 till 6 shift the overtime is not very optional.
