Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

On a day-to-day basis, I am recovering payments from insurers that have not paid for the credit hire that we have provided to our customer. It is my job to make sure all late payment penalties are added to every claim that hasn't been paid in the correct time frame.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

100%, as my placement progressed, I was given lots of responsibilities in running my own projects. My part of the team went down to one person, and I was chosen which has been very successful. I was even given side projects alongside my everyday role working closely with individual insurers.

During my placement i've learnt lots of skills; Time management and organization, Teamwork, Professional communication, problem solving and the importance of networking and relationship building not only with colleagues however other companies you connect with every day.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

We received more support than we could of asked from inside the team and outside the team. The team were great in supporting and guiding me on how to do my role to the best quality. Outside the team we received lots of guidance on professional and life skills.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

I very much liked the general atmosphere in terms of the people that surrounded me. Everyone was kind and helpful in progressing, NO one turned you away if you asked for help. As a company enterprise has an amazing culture in making anyone feel welcome and this is shown by the emphasis they have on charity and DEI.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

My internship was very enjoyable. It's taught me a lot of lessons from working in a professional environment to getting the most out of every opportunity. Being able to lead my own projects and enhance processes within the company to make it more efficient and successful has just been such a rewarding experience.
