Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Participated in case studies, panel discussions, and networking sessions. The experience allowed me to get a unique insight into the firm’s culture, values, and various business divisions.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was both eye-opening and motivating. It allowed me to gain a clearer view of how the different divisions at J.P. Morgan work together to serve clients and how each role contributes to the firm’s overall success.
Learning directly from professionals in areas like Markets (Sales, Trading, Research & Structuring), Investment Banking, and Asset and Wealth Management, among others, helped me appreciate the day-to-day responsibilities, the skill sets required, and the different career paths available. It also made it easier to identify which areas aligned best with my strengths and interests.
The exposure to so many perspectives not only deepened my understanding of the financial industry but also made me more confident about the next steps I want to take in my career.

Despite the firm’s fast-paced and high-performing environment, the atmosphere felt collaborative rather than competitive. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to J.P. Morgan
I would advise future applicants to research J.P. Morgan’s values and mission, as well as the different divisions and think carefully about why they are interested in the firm and the specific business area they’re applying to. Having a clear motivation helps during interviews and networking conversations. J.P. Morgan's web page is a great resource to do so.
It’s also important to stay up to date with current events, particularly market news and major economic trends, as commercial awareness is highly valued.
Finally, I would encourage applicants to be authentic — the firm really values people who are curious, eager to learn, and able to work well in a team. Showing genuine enthusiasm and a willingness to engage with others can make a big difference.
