Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The insight week was packed eith activities and learning relating to the Software Engineering jobs at J.P Morgan Chase. On a daily basis, we received informative talks from Software Engineers and our recruiters, combined with fun group activities and challenges. The last two days of the program was the Code for Good hackathon, where we were able to put our skills to use and collaborate with our peers.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Learning about the company and potential roles was very informative and I was able to gain an understanding of how Software Engineering is done at J.P Morgan that I would not be able to looking from the outside.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Before the hackathon, I had never bern involved with creating a web application and I had never experienced the front end side of software developing. Through this hackathon I was able to gain an understanding of how frontend and its integration with backend works.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture emphasizes on inclusivity, curiosity and continous learning. The atmosphere was very friendly including all of my peers, our recruiters, interns, and current employees that I had the chance to connect with. I was left with very positive feelings about the company and felt included in every way.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I enjoyed the insight week immensely. I learned so much including technical and nontechnical knowledge. I pushed myself out of my comfort zone to connect with as many people as I can and learn from them. The hackathon experience was also very fun and challenging. I would love to go back and do it all over again.

Do your best in every opportunity given to you and do not forget to be yourself. Remember that this an opportunity to become your best self and improve your skills. Do not be afraid of talking to people, they are all very friendly and they want to help you achieve your goals.
