Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
During the week we engaged in panel sessions in a variety of business areas across the bank for example asset management, risk, markets and investment banking.
There was the opportunity to participate in interactive case studies with a variety of divisions to simulate the working experience.
Also there was a lot of networking sessions to help us understand the day-to-day activities employees within the firm engaged in.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was great as we got the chance to interact with people from various lines of the business. This allowed me to understand a lot more about the roles available to me within the firm.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
A new skill I learnt was the thought process behind an M&A deal through participating in a case study. Also I learnt more about markets and how recent macroeconomic events affects this business area.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everyone from every area of the business was welcoming and friendly. All employees knew their business areas in depth and was able to explain it in a concise way. This reflected the firms culture of excellence and being the best at what they do.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I enjoyed the spring week to a great extent, as I was able to meet a lot of new people from various backgrounds. Also every employee was really friendly throughout the week, which made the experience even more great.
