Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The vacation scheme involved daily insight talks which highlighted the various practice areas. There were a lot of networking opportunities with various individuals across the firm. Also had the opportunity to complete work on a rage of tasks.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It has been really great as they gave the opportunity to have lots of sector talks so we really gained a good understanding of the business of the company and potential rolls. there was also a lot of exposure to different people within the company to have talks at all levels.

I have learnt a lot about the patents team as this was the team that I sat in. Also had the opportunity to present, network etc.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It was very friendly and encouraging. I was given a trainee buddy and supervisor meaning that there were people who were around if I had any questions and who also made the effort to introduce me to different people within the company.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed it however I found it quite stressful just due to the lack of time with the one week scheme. I think the information that I have learnt is invaluable however so definitely worth the stress.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Taylor Wessing
Make sure that you have prepared your knowledge of the firm so that you are aware of their key sector insights. I would also recommend attending insight experiences to gain more detailed knowledge and get a sense of the culture.
