Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Each day was a different line of business. The day involved panel discussions, networking events and case studies. Well the tasks involved networking and Q&A.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was really interesting to hear people who had worked for the firm for a long time period. They were all so passionate and provided invaluable information. This inspired me to pursue a career in the firm.

I’ve learnt more about how to network with members of the intern and employees at J.P. Morgan. I got a detailed overview of all the options available when working in a bank.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture was the standout aspect of the week. Every speaker mentioned how much they love working here. It was clear for me that everyone was passionate and loved their job. The length of time people had worked here proved this. It was clear to see how much the firm values really careers and programmes like this. During extreme volatility in the markets, all the speakers showed up and were very engaging.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really, really enjoyed the insight. Although we were given a lot of information there was a lot of breaks for networking. All the speakers were so interesting and a lot of them were very high up in the business

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to J.P. Morgan
I would say make sure to mention the culture in your cover letter. I would advise others to try and get exposure to computer programming. It was clear at the week how much investment has been made into tech.
