Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
We were there to gain an insight into life at Taylor Wessing. We were each placed into a department, who gave us a practice area task to complete. We also had a group task and an assessed task to complete in the week. The remainder of our time was spent hearing from the firm’s lawyers about each department and having one on one meetings with those we were particularly interested by.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was fantastic to hear about the scope of the work undertaken by the firm and the breadth of clients. I was particularly struck by how deep the firm’s knowledge is in its chosen sectors and how it helps clients grow from start-up to international listed companies.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was incredibly welcoming. Everyone I met, from IT to trainees to partners, was generous with their time and happy to answer any questions we had. The general atmosphere was collegiate and friendly.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I massively enjoyed the insight. While it was hard work, it gave me everything I was looking for from a work placement scheme and I feel like I left with a real understanding of the firm, its work and its people.
