Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
During the The Vacation Scheme, I spoke to many lawyers and got involved in a variety of different tasks. In return, I developed my skills, better understood a commercial lawyer's work and got a good idea about the firm's culture.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Understanding about the business and potential roles available by working at Ashurst for three weeks was an invaluable opportunity. The experience conivced me that I want to become a commercial solicitor.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I enjoyed every moment of the Vacation Scheme. It was the perfect mix between social events, networking and work that allowed me to better understand Ashurst as a firm.

Be your best and authentic self. It is important to show your personality and, therefore, an important step is to tailor and structure your application well. Try to learn as much as you can about the firm before applying by attending events and researching it online. This way, you can not only show your personality, but also your knowledge about the firm and the sectors it operates in in your application.
