Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My day usually started at 9am and ended well past 5pm(willingly). I check my inbox for any new emails. Soon after, I check in with my manager on the progress of my project, any changes that have to be made, etc. I soon start on building and maintaing my Excel model, any changes that have to be made and inputs that have to be entered.
I usually have a few GTKY sessions during the day, meeting with different stakeholders and individuals from different parts of the company. I also attend different internal and external events organised by Shell such as Shell Cycling Olympic Events.
My day ends with me working on my final presentation, and thinking about the main conclusions of the project.

Yes, I was given full control over my project, from the project framing, to the modelling, and generating insights.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes, for new skills, lots of data analysis and interpretation, as well as Excel modelling skills.
For old skills, improved and strengthened my learners mindset as well as communication skills. Learnt to always have a 360 degree mindset during data analysis.
