Audit and Accounts Intern Review

I was involved with preparing accounts for companies, using CCHAPS to create the accounts and amend any changes such as adding journals to the trial balance. I utilised an auditing software to audit individual sections of an account such as wages and salaries, finding relevant documents to verify the numbers calculated in the accounts. I also completed multiple call and casts to ensure the details in the accounts were correct.

I was given a moderate amount of responsibility during the internship.

I've learnt how to use an auditing software called ProAudit and CCHAPS which is an accounts production software. Within both of these programs I have familiarised myself with most of the functions needed to complete an audit and create a completed set of accounts. I also learnt new accounting terminology and fortified former accounting knowledge with these programs.

I received a very good level of support during my internship and felt very comfortable asking for assistance whenever I felt was necessary.

I really liked the company culture as everyone here is very friendly and inclusive.

I enjoyed my internship to a good extent but would have liked a bit more variety in my day to day tasks.
