Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Developed deeper understanding of structuring, trading, research, and sales of products in the financial markets. Networking and interaction with 10+ senior leaders, including [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] Collaborated with 6 other interns under time pressure analysing the US-China trade war and presenting to MDs. Traded crude oil in JPMorgan’s trading simulator reacting to constant news headlines and reassessing strategy.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was very interesting learning more about one of the greatest investment banks in the world. Participating in this program gave me a superior insight into the bank's culture, operations and people. I felt even more motivated, impressed and inspired after the programme. At the end of the programme we received a detailed overview of potential roles available.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
JPMorgan's culture makes it possible for ambitious individuals to be challenged and develop further. The people there are extremely hard-working and generous in sharing their experience and knowledge. Overall, a very good atmosphere and culture.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I enjoyed it very much. I learned a lot, met a lot of like-minded interns and talked to senior employees at the bank. There was a great variety of activities, such as networking, quizzes, case-study, trading simulation and a mindfulness session.

Be open-minded and ready to meet a lot of new interesting people. They all share many of the same passions and it is a truly unique opportunity to network with many different people. Be prepared and have intelligent questions ready to ask senior JPMorgan employees. Lastly, be positive and learn as much as possible from the programme.
