Yes, I was given two projects to work on. I spent most of my time planning and working on these projects.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I was trusted to get on with the job/projects in my own style/I received a lot of freedom. But my mentor and manager would always support and guide me if I had any questions. Outside projects, they would take the time to understand me and my concerns and would accommodate to what I felt comfortable with. There were also a lot of training opportunities at the start.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
People and caring, welcoming and supportive. They push you out of your comfort zone but at the same time understand you are a student and don't have unrealistic expectations of you.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
It took me a while to find my feet and adapt to the new environment. But once I knew what I was doing and got to know the team, the placement became enjoyable. I enjoyed learning about myself and the food industry, and seeing myself grow over the year. Any negatives you can always speak to your manager/mentor and work out the solutions.
