Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My daily role would consist of coming in the morning and checking my emails, updating reports before 9am. Then receiving UK invoices and processing them through excel and automotive services. Contacting vendors when invoices are incorrect and working with them to amend them. Advise vendors with payment updates. As an intern, i was given the opportunity to take part in multiple training courses to work on my personal development and personal brand. Took part in multiple team meetings and presentations.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, i was given responsibilities of tasks that had to be carried out on a daily. This allowed me to plan my day out and have a more structured day.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Yes absolutely, i was able to work on my communication and presentation skills. Got to work on my personal brand where i learnt how to present myself in the best way possible and have a great first impression. Got taught key interview skills and most importantly time management.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I was provided with a huge amount of support and guidance until I became more aware of the role and still almost 12 months in i still have support and guidance whenever i need it.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement as i have been given the opportunity to network with a wide range of people from all expertise. Gained valuable experience of the corporate world which has prepared me for the world of work after university.
