Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I spent half of my placement as a developer and half as a tester, working on a web-based large scale project. My day involved a morning standup call followed by working on tickets. We had various meetings throughout the day to discuss new implementations, and I frequently conversed with colleagues to help me fix problems.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I worked on significant parts of the project and handled complex tasks with tight deadlines. In the 2nd half of my placement, I helped introduce a new team member to the team and system which was a really good experience

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I significantly developed my soft skills during my placement and gained experience with JIRA and project management. My coding skills have improved a lot too, it really helped me to be in a work environment having spent most of my time programming at university or on personal projects
