Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The Vacation Scheme was fantastic. It was well-planned, there were lots of opportunities to meet people working in the firm and other vac schemers. The scheme provided great insight into the firm’s work and culture. And everyone was lovely! I was set real work (rather than ‘made up’ tasks), which provided an authentic feel into what lawyers in different teams do!
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was inspiring to see many people who were from a smilies background to me working in roles that they were passionate about and excelled in. The work that the lawyers at this firm do is inspiring and exciting. I felt I learned a lot about my own objectives as an aspiring solicitor.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture is great. Everyone is friendly and supportive. My supervisors were very welcoming and kind, and they made an effort to make me feel integrated in the team.

I loved the scheme. It is by far one of the best work experiences I have had. The learning curve was steep!

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Taylor Wessing
Be authentic! The firm loves authentic, real people. There was a whole spectrums of personalities at the firm, which gives the firm its own unique feel! Also be ready to do real, hard work during the scheme. Enjoy it and appreciate the learning process - it’s an amazing opportunity to be able to spend time with the firm and learn from its people.
