Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role involves working with a close team of individuals to design engineering solutions. Part of the team I worked with were from my office, but I also had the opportunity to work with colleagues in other offices, both in the UK and globally. Day to day, I spend most of my time creating 3d Cad models and then construction drawings. Occasionally I will be undertaking calculations, coding and report writing.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
After I had completed my training, I swiftly learned the ropes behind the workflows my team used. From then I quickly became a core member of the design team. After a few months I was given the responsibility to lead on the delivery of certain deliverables.
