Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

It was a one week internship. This consisted of various practice area sessions, workshops, and activities which focussed on the practice area you were assigned to. We also had to give a group presentation at the end of the week. There were also 2 socials during the week.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

We were briefed on the training contract process at the start of the week. It was also interesting to learn about how qualification works.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed practical skills in relation to banking & finance. I had prior theoretical knowledge in the area so this gave me the opportunity to expand my practical skills. I also learnt a lot about various practice areas the firm offered.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Everyone was incredibly friendly and approachable from the trainee to the partner level. I had multiple catch ups with partners at the firm and they took time out of their day to interact with vac schemers.
