Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
A varied schedule each day to provide insight into the firm’s various practice areas, pro bono work, tech developments and culture. The scheme included a mix of working within a practice area on typical trainee tasks and workshops with other vacation schemers.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The scheme provided great insight into the role of a trainee within the firm and the typical tasks you’d be doing on a day-to-day basis. There were also opportunities to learn about the business of law firms (e.g., client relationship building, differences in approaches to BD from team to team etc).

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
TW is famous for its culture and it’s clear to see why. Everyone is so friendly and approachable at every level of the firm. All the partners were more than happy to give up their time to chat to you and find out about your areas of interest. The scheme also included 2 socials so there were opportunities to get to know the other vac schemers outside of the office.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
This was a great opportunity to gain first hand insight into the firm and understand the culture from the inside. It was a really enjoyable week.
