Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I developed back-end APIs in Python. I supported the needs of the business by making data analysis easy. I spoke to other employees to find out more about their needs and implemented functionality to address them.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was building out new tooling. Initially, nobody relied on the tools that we were developing.
We were given a lot of control over the way these tools are designed and the interns on my team were free to organise ourselves, which I liked.
